For the second consecutive year, AMVAC Chemical Corp. has given $25,000 to the Environmental Institute for Golf (EIFG), the philanthropic organization of GCSAA. AMVAC officially presented the gift to the EIFG at the 2019 Golf Industry Show in San Diego. The money will go toward the GCSAA Grassroots Ambassador Academy events that take place during the annual Golf Industry Show.
AMVAC is now a member of the EIFG’s Cumulative Giving Program’s Governors Club, which designates an organization that has donated between $50,000 and $99,999 since 1987. AMVAC manufactures herbicides, insecticides and fungicides designed to help golf courses look their best with less environmental impact when used according to label directions.
“Our GCSAA grassroots ambassadors are making a difference for golf on Capitol Hill, and AMVAC’s support has been an important element of that,” says GCSAA CEO Rhett Evans. “AMVAC’s generous gift for the GCSAA Ambassadors Academy helps fund crucial advocacy training, and we thank them for that.”
