The 2020 GCSAA Golf Championships will be contested Jan. 25-27 in Orlando, Fla., as part of the 2020 Golf Industry Show.

The championships, presented in partnership with The Toro Co., will offer four different events over three days and will draw GCSAA members of all abilities. The competitions will take place at four high-end courses in the Orlando area.

In addition to the GCSAA National Championship Jan. 26-27, a four-ball competition will be held Jan. 25, followed by a scramble event on Jan. 26. The two-day Golf Classic is scheduled for Jan. 26-27 and will offer both a gross and net flighted competition that will use a point-quota scoring system. Flights in the Golf Classic will rotate between courses. The PGA of America will provide Rules officials and course setup.

The 2020 National Championship will be played at ChampionsGate Golf Club’s International Course. The event is limited to 72 GCSAA members with a 5.0 handicap index or lower.

Other courses that will welcome golfers over the three days of events are the ChampionsGate Golf Club National Course, Ritz-Carlton Golf Club at Grande Lakes, and Shingle Creek Golf Club. The JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes will be the host resort. When not on course, participants are invited to attend networking events to connect with peers and other professionals in the golf course management business.

To learn more about each of the courses and competitions, and to register, go to the GCSAA Golf Championships page of the Golf Industry Show website. Advance registration for the GCSAA Golf Championships closes Dec. 20.

More than 450 GCSAA members participated in the 2019 GCSAA Golf Championships in San Diego. Steve Gilley, superintendent at Panorama Golf Club in Conroe, Texas, won last year’s National Championship on the Champions Course at the Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, Calif.
